Project status: In progress
How to have YourSay:
The second phase of consultation is underway for a potential community garden in Throsby.
You can also share images and thoughts around what you would like to see and what you would like to avoid in a possible community garden in Throsby.
Please note, in order that a COVID safe environment is maintained, physical distancing will be observed for in person activities, hand sanitiser will be supplied and participants asked to check in using the Check in CBR app on arrival. Please do not attend a session if you are unwell. Events may be changed or cancelled should the health situation change.
The proposed Throsby community garden is an initiative of the Woodlands and Wetlands Trust, supported by the Suburban Land Agency. Adjacent to the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary (the Sanctuary), the proposed community garden aims to provide an opportunity for the people of Throsby and surrounding suburbs to connect and learn about gardening, the local environment and each other. How you had YourSay so far:
We asked Gungahlin area residents to take part in our survey to tell us what they'd like to see. The survey closed for feedback on 27 July 2020. We have now released the What We Heard Report which gives a snap shot of community feedback.
We are looking at:
- The level of community interest in a community garden on this site
- Possible design and logistics of the garden and its ongoing management and administrative structure
