How you had YourSay:

Canberrans had their say on the new community space at the Woden Library by:

  • sharing their ideas online
  • dropping into the Woden Library branch and contributing to an 'ideas wall' or taking part in a workshop.

We are looking at:

Woden Library opened in 1977. It's the busiest of the nine public library branches in the ACT. We have allocated $500,000 to create a new community space on the top level, where the Heritage Library used to be, and we want your ideas.

We want to make this a space for the whole community to use and enjoy. Have a think about the free experiences and services you want in this space. You don’t need to be a library member to provide feedback. We want to hear from both library users and those who haven’t visited the library in a while.

The upgrade of this space is an example of how we are investing in the urban renewal of Woden. Upgrades at the Woden Library, the Woden Experiment, active travel upgrades in the town centre and the next stage of light rail are all projects that will help to
re-energise Woden.

We will use your views to:

Your feedback and ideas will help us design the new community space. All ideas we receive will be considered for future opportunities at the Woden Library.
